"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking" - Steve Jobs
I love what I do, I am lucky to find myself in a career that satisfies my creative side, allows me to meet all manner of interesting people and provide them with something that they will treasure. Fortunately I also seem to have a talent for photography judging by the kind words I have received from my clients and the multiple awards I have won judged by my peers.
The look on client's faces when they see their finished photographs all framed up and ready to put on their wall or beautifully presented in a fine art leather bound album gives me no end of pleasure as I hope it will do for them for years to come.
Ultimately it's not about me, it's about you and whether I can make you feel at ease in front of the camera. Fortunately I'm equally at home talking with CEO's about their latest product launch as I am talking with children about the latest video game or TV show and my 14 year old daughter helps me keep my finger on the pulse with the latest fashions and music! The better our connection and the more comfortable I can make you the better the portraits of you I can take.
I also refuse to get old, at least in my head and although my body sometimes seems to disagree with me it doesn't stop me from indulging in my favourite sports of skiing and tennis. I also love to travel and the first item I always pack is my camera!
I am the Creative Director of Origin Studios in St Albans which I use for many of my portrait sessions. Origin Studios is a stunning space for photography inside a 300 year old timber barn in the grounds of the Munden Country Estate with parking right outside. I am also happy to travel, especially if there is a great location involved!
I hope you like my work and look forward to taking your portrait!
