Families come in all shapes and sizes...
...and I photograph every combination of families from multi generational portraits including everyone from Grandad to Grandchildren, to smaller family groups of perhaps just a couple of people, toddlers, babies and everything in between, and often all at the same photo shoot!
Every family is different and so each family portrait I shoot is designed to capture the essence of each family, their individual characters, the family as a whole and also to make them look the very best they can as no one wants to be remembered for a bad hair day or a cheesy smile!
We all have memories we want to keep and preserve, moments in time that are fleeting then lost and beyond that we all wish to be remembered long after we have gone. Our heirloom family albums provide a timeless reminder of ourselves long into the future, something for our children to show to their children.
In a world where there are more photos taken every day than in the whole of the last century we often find we have lots of photos of our family but rarely do we make the time to take great photos, to be in the photos with them rather than behind the smartphone or camera. A family photoshoot allows you the chance to take that time to reconnect with your family, to bring them all together and to create some special photos of you all together.
Often the hardest thing to do is finding the time in our busy lives to get together as families and I am always pleased to hear comments like "we should do this more often" or "why didn't we do this before" when people have had their photo shoot with me. So whether it's in the studio, on your favourite beach or at a family celebration I would be delighted to capture your family with you.
